The Prestige Factor

I’ve recently stumbled upon a fun little website that’s right up my alley. Overthinkingit.com is a site that, as you guessed, over-thinks things. One of those things is often movies. As someone who is always thinking about how to quantify things that shouldn’t be quantified, I have often thought of different ways to quantify actors. With John Travolta I looked at IMDB scores. In an article at overthinkingit.com, they used the actor’s Prestige Factor.

What is a Prestige Factor? Basically it’s a film’s release date which is given a value (movies in the fall all the way through December are generally Oscar bait films, where movies released in January are often “dump” films). Want to know Vin Diesel’s Prestige Factor? Now you can. It’s an interesting way to look at an actor and I highly suggest reading the full article here.
